Library workshop helps families turn cherished recipes into a digital cookbook
The October 14 SEEDLab session introduces Recipe Keeper and ways to preserve family stories.

Winter Haven Public Library will offer a family-recipe workshop Wednesday, October 14, from 3 to 4 p.m. in its SEEDLab at 325 Avenue A NW. The session focuses on preserving recipes in a digital cookbook that relatives can share.
Participants will learn about Recipe Keeper, a website and app for collecting and organizing recipes. The class also covers adding photographs and family stories, so a favorite dish can retain the memories that go with it.
For families with recipes scattered across cards, notebooks and phones, the workshop offers a place to start bringing them together before the holidays. The library describes the session as an introduction with ideas and tips for creating a lasting keepsake.
